Success at Summer Swolstice '22

July 16, 2022 - Bellevue Crossfit

Coaches Luke Forshaw and Avry Smallz banded together as team “Jacked In The Box” this past weekend to compete in the Summer Swolstice ‘22 Co-Ed RX Event hosted by University Place Crossfit.  The duo fought hard and topped the leaderboards across four grueling events, earning themselves a well-deserved second place finish!

The highlight of the day was in the final event: Davy Jones.  With the third place team trailing just points behind, the pair kicked it into high gear and put forth their most dominating performance. After a few pulls on the rower and a load of double unders, the two jumped forward with a surprising twenty second lead over the competition. Avry then smashed her set of bar muscle ups before handing off the rest to Luke, culminating in their first event win.

Big congratulations to both athletes for giving it their all.  Let’s hope for many more victories down the road!

time cap: 10 minutes

Partners accumulate calories on the bike while the other finishes 1 round of DT. After 3 rounds each are completed, partners will continue to accumulate calories on the bike. One partner working at at time. Scoring is the time to finish 3 rounds of DT and total calories accumulated on the bike.

Max front squats at the heaviest successful complex. One partner working at at time. Scoring is the total heaviest complex and the number of reps completed.

EVENT 3: FLOATER (3:15)

80m Sled Drag (4 plates/2 plates)

Partners split the movements and then alternate. Both partners must finish their movements before alternating on the second round.
